Delays and Cancellations

During inclement weather it may be necessary to delay, close, or dismiss NJ-SP schools early. Decisions are made first and foremost with student safety in mind. When NJ-SP determines that it is necessary to delay or cancel school, notification is sent to parents/guardians via School Messenger, the media, and our social media sites.

The process, timing, and rationale for delays and cancellations due to inclement weather is collaborative, as we work with local authorities and area superintendents.

To ensure that you are notified when weather delays and cancellations are announced, please confirm that the school office has your information and permission to send School Messenger messages to you.
